We are Not Our Bodies by Rena M. Reese
Today I had a little epiphany.
I used to think of my body like it was a mannequin. I was mostly focused on the outside; what it showed to the world. People would decide who I was simply by seeing my external shell. I too, would judge myself on the “mannequin-me” I would see in the mirror.

Her brother has backed his wife, leaving my friend feeling first hurt and upset – but now also angry. Read more on how she handled this dilemma>>

When things don’t go your way, do you complain? Of course, you probably do. We all do! Some of us do it more than others, but it is something we are all inclined to do. And in many cases, complaining is a reaction that is quite warranted, but the reality is that the act of complaining is like a nasty disease. It makes us feel even worse and it spreads the same bad feelings to innocent bystanders.
