When the whispers come, do you listen? Do you notice those gentle nudges pulling you in a different direction or quietly taunting you to make a change? When you get that feeling to make a shift in your life, do you let fear get in the way, or do you listen? And do you even hear the whispers? Have you programmed yourself to just go with the daily grind, instead of allowing your instinct to guide you through transformations in your life?
The people who hear the gentle whispers and respond are the ones who create opportunities for gentle transformation. They respond when the whispers are quiet and because of that, they ease into changes that just flow and there is no fight. It is only those people who don’t hear or listen to the quiet whispers that have to endure more aggressive changes. When we fight against the natural flow of transformation, the whispers become louder and stronger, and the level of ease in making the change decreases.
Change is inevitable in life. In fact, change is really the only constant that exists in life. It is impossible not to experience it, but it is our choice how that change will come about and how it will affect us. When we are oblivious to the whispering signs along the way, little stones will start to be thrown in our path, and if we ignore those, larger rocks will be hurled at us, and if we still ignore those, huge boulders will fall and block our paths. One way or another, transformation will grab our attention. I say, go for the whispers – it’s a much more peaceful way.
