My brother treated himself to his dream recently. He bought this Dodge Viper that he had been jones-ing for in the last 10 years. He really wanted this one, the blue one with the white racing stripe. He bought it "as is" against his better judgment but the low, low miles and amazing body were too good to pass up.

We were all so happy for him...he was so happy..... Then he took it to his mechanic and the bills started rolling in.... A car that is essentially HAND made is not cheap to repair and get up to standard. (His standards are even higher than most when it comes to his cars). One little part that would swim in the palm of your hand was $500...That was the beginning of the MANY thousands he would put into this car. His mechanic said if he ever needed to replace the hood, that would be considered a custom job and would cost $17,000---Yep, just the handmade fiberglass hood..... Yikes!

He felt he was taken by an unethical seller .... Hmmm.... Not too shocking, but still unsettling.

All of this had me thinking about our bodies.... Sometimes they look good on the outside, but inside are a raging mess. Spirits are battered, confidence is low, energy depleted, but masked by a smart suit, beautiful dress, hot shoes or a great hair cut and color. As I saw from my brother's situation, what is under our (more than $17,000) hood will eventually need to be addressed--You can only keep your car parked and stare at it for so long before it needs to be driven.

Here's the miracle in transformation: when you seek to transform the body, what is under the hood ALWAYS benefits and transforms too. A successful transformation relies on addressing what is truth so that success is achieved and maintained. Maintaining is often the hard part....and nearly impossible if the inner work---spiritual evolution---isn't held as a priority.

All the best as you make what's under the hood as important as the body work!
